Real Estate Transactions

Meitar's real estate department works with some of the largest players in Israel's commercial and residential real estate markets. We advise clients on a wide range of real estate transactions, including acquisitions and sales, leasing, land use, secured financing, debt restructuring, investment and ownership structures, and development and construction. Our international clients in this field range from commercial banks providing financing to Israeli developers, to multinational companies seeking to build a local campus, to technology companies renting office space. We are particularly sensitive to the very "local" nature of land use and ownership regulation, and the need to explain these regulations to foreign clients in straightforward language.

Meitar renders services in all aspects of real estate, from the initial stage of land purchase, contact with the planners, advisors and project managers, occupation of projects, sale and ownership listings. We work constantly with all relevant authorities, among which is the Israel Land Administration, Land registry, local authorities, planning and building authorities as well as real estate tax authorities. In addition, we handle tax planning in real estate transactions, and finance agreements for real estate projects with commercial and investment banks. Among our real estate clients are some of Israel’s major building and investment companies such as the Aurec Group, the Fishman Group (through O’Neal, CDK and Darben), Lenox and U. Dori.
