Pro Bono

Meitar has a long tradition of community involvement and of using our legal expertise to serve disadvantaged members of our society.

The firm created a scholarship fund in honor of Zvi Meitar, our firm’s founder, in 2001, to support immigrant law students from Ethiopia.  This fund has provided need-based scholarships to over 100 students.

In addition, we actively support a supplementary science education program for underprivileged youth in Israel, and a center for educational enrichment in Tel-Aviv.

Representative work:
  • Representation of the Or Yarok Association, an organization dedicated to the promotion of traffic safety, since its formation.
  • Representation of the Youth Renewal Fund - YRF, which provides after-school courses to elementary and high-school students in English, Hebrew and mathematics.
  • Representation of “One to One” Fellowship.
  • Representation of the Association for Civil Rights in Israel and students of Ben Gurion University in a freedom of demonstration matter.
  • Representation of an advocacy group in a case before the High Court of Justice to allow political commercials on TV and radio.
  • Representation of the Israel Association of Baseball in all its local activities, including the promotion of a professional baseball league in Israel.
