The firm represents a significant number of media, internet and e-commerce enterprises, including bloggers and not-for-profit companies, both as counsel for their commercial, copyright and licensing matters as well as on their behalf in disputes with third parties. We advise them on “best practices” in areas relating to their websites, including ways to reduce their liability for user-generated content. We regularly advise on website development agreements and website hosting agreements. The nature of this work is international in scope, as internet sites are generally available worldwide. As such, we strive to keep our clients apprised of new developments in the ever-fluid legal environment – on matters such as privacy, protection of domain names from cybersquatters, spam, data protection, data mining, censorship, electronic licensing and cross-border taxation - with a view towards assuring the client’s continued compliance.

  • Content license and distribution agreements between Seeking Alpha and Yahoo!, e-Trade, and Reuters.
  • Co-branding agreements for Answers.com, Zap (leading Israeli price comparison site) and rest.co.il (leading Israeli restaurant site).
