Meitar has represented international and domestic companies in some of Israel's largest government tenders in recent years. We have developed significant expertise in government contract law, and we have worked with many of the leading government agencies overseeing tenders. We handle every phase of government and quasi-government contracting, from analyzing solicitations for bids and government evaluation criteria, assisting in the preparation of proposals, challenging or defending criteria or selection decisions, advising clients on compliance measures and subcontracting issues.
When necessary, we represent clients in Israeli courts on challenges to tender criteria and results, as well as other disputes arising out of tenders.
Representative experience:
- Representing clients in defense-related tenders of the Ministry of Defense.
- Representation of MI Holdings, a company owned and controlled by the State of Israel, in the privatization of Bank Leumi.
- Representing bidders in an international tender of the Ministry of Finance relating to the "Wisconsin Program" to encourage re-entry into the workforce of welfare recipients.
- Representing a public company in a municipal tender to acquire a lot for a new headquarters and production facility.
