Environmental

Meitar’s environmental department represents both private companies and municipal authorities in complex environmental matters, including planning and licensing issues, administrative challenges and litigation.

We have advised a number of municipalities in the formation of sewage treatment companies.  We also advise industrial plants dealing with environment-related questions such as air pollution, soil pollution and electromagnetic pollution and radiation.

Our environmental department also assists our real estate and energy departments on a wide spectrum of municipal and infrastructure matters, including real estate development, natural resource exploitation and energy, water and sewage utilities. The department also assists the corporate department in due diligence reviews of companies with significant environmental exposure.

Meitar represents various companies and public bodies in proceedings with enforcement and regulatory authorities. We also review our clients’ risk management procedures and emergency contingency plans.
