Employee Benefits and Equity Based Plans

Meitar’s Labor Department, together with our corporate and tax attorneys, advises clients on a wide range of employee compensation and benefit issues.  We work with clients, and their accountants and outside consultants, to design, maintain and administer benefits programs.  These programs include tax-advantaged equity participation programs, severance pay funds, disability insurance and other employee benefits.  We structure stock option and restricted stock programs for Israeli companies and for multinational companies with employees based in Israel, in order to enable local employees to benefit from deferred tax treatment.  In the case of companies with worldwide option programs, we prepare an Israeli addendum to the program specifically designed for their local employees.  In addition to tax benefits, we also advise our clients on compliance with Israeli securities laws in issuing options or other equity-based compensation in Israel.
