Ron Peleg

Ron Peleg is a partner in the firm’s Litigation Group, specializing in civil-commercial litigation. Ron represents Israeli and international clients in court proceedings and in arbitrations. Ron handles complex international litigation and has accumulated vast experience representing and appearing before all judicial instances in cases involving corporate law, commercial law, environmental law, administrative law and product liability. Ron also specializes in the field of pharmaceutical law and represents a number of multinational pharmaceutical companies in matters involving product liability, regulation and class actions.

Ron is the former Associate Editor of the “Tel Aviv University Law Review”.

• Defense of Merck & Co. in all pending actions in Israel concerning the pain relief Vioxx, including three class actions filed in this matter.
• Defense of GlaxoSmithKline in a class action concerning the drug Avandia.
• Defense of Eli Lilly & Co in a class action concerning the drug Zyprexa.
• Representation of family members in a multi-million inheritance dispute.
• Defense of one of the “big four” accounting firms in a NIS 60 million professional negligence claim filed by liquidators of a bankrupt public company.
• Representation of Makhteshim Chemical Works in an administrative petition and subsequent “environmental mediation” among all the Ramat Hovav plants, the Manufacturers Association, Ministry of the Environment, Ramat Hovav Local Council and green organizations, concerning solutions for the disposal of industrial waste in Ramat Hovav.
• Defense of an accounting firm in an NIS 25 million class action, for professional negligence.
• Representation of the innovative stent manufacturer Medinol in its multibillion dispute with Boston Scientific over a breach of a shareholder agreement, distribution agreement and breach of intellectual property rights, conducted in New York, Europe and Israel.
• Defense of the US Government in an administrative petition with the Jerusalem District Court regarding a new Consulate compound in the Arnona neighborhood.
• Representation of the Republic of Bulgaria before the Supreme Court of Israel in an appeal relating to an international arbitration proceeding.
• Representation of controlling shareholders against the minority shareholders in one of Israel’s largest beverage producers.
• Representation of minority shareholders to block a reorganization scheme in one of Israel’s largest insurance groups.
• Representation of Gan Shmuel Group in a multi-million dollar complaint against AES Corporation regarding failure to complete a renewable energy project.
