Ami is of counsel to the firm.  Ami specializes in international business law, corporate law, business development and commercial ventures, primarily in the Asian region. Ami represents corporations in a broad range of international and domestic corporate and commercial transactions, with emphasis on mergers and acquisitions, private equity financings, venture capital, and information and communications technology transactions. Ami acts as the sole legal adviser in Israel for the Governments of Japan, the Republic of South Korea and Mongolia, covering a wide range of matters on Israeli law and regulations. Ami served as an adviser at the Israeli Prime Minister's Office (2000-2004), having served as an adviser at the highest levels of the Israeli government on issues ranging from legal to social and economic affairs.

 

In 2006, Ami was appointed as the Honorary Consul General of Mongolia to Israel, and in 2010 he was appointed Honorary Consul General for the Republic of Korea in Jerusalem.

 

In 2010, Ami was elected President of the Israel-Korea Chamber of Commerce.

 

In 2003, Mr. Orkaby was one of few Israelis ever to receive the prestigious Eisenhower Fellowship for outstanding leadership

 

In 2008, Forbes Magazine, special Israeli edition, noted Ami at the 42nd place out of the "300 list" of Israel's most influential individuals.
