Israel Feffer

Israel Feffer is a partner in the firm’s Litigation Group. He represents clients in litigation matters in a variety of fields, including corporate law, commercial disputes, contracts, securities, labor, administrative law and environmental law. Israel handles litigation cases in a multitude of legal forums, including all Israeli courts (including the Supreme Court sitting as the High Court of Justice) and before arbitration panels.

Israel has handled various disputes among shareholders of companies and represented shareholders and creditors in receivership proceedings, work out plans and stays of proceedings under Israeli law. Israel has acted as a court appointed receiver in various cases both with respect to companies in distress and with respect to particular assets.

Representative experience:

• Representing the Chairman of the Board of Directors of North America Bank in a $200 million settlement of a claim against all directors and senior management concerning the alleged responsibility of the directors and managers for the collapse of the bank.
• Representing certain shareholders of New Dimension Software in litigation concerning control of the company and directors’ responsibility. The company was ultimately sold to BMC for $600 million.
• Representation of Orckit, a NASDAQ traded company, in an NIS 40 million lawsuit against Bezeq.
• Representation of Foxcom Wireless (subsequently known as MobileAccess) in court proceedings for a stay of proceedings and a subsequent successful work out plan.
• Representing a private client in an NIS 350 million tax litigation.
• Representing Bank Hapoalim in receivership, pledges and liquidations of various companies and assets.
