Jonathan represents Israeli high-tech ventures in negotiating licensing and other commercial transactions abroad with major electronics, software, and telecommunications companies. He also negotiates sponsored research and clinical trial agreements on behalf of start-up and global medical device and pharmaceutical companies. He was previously Vice President Business Affairs and General Counsel of a NASDAQ company doing business in over 120 countries.
Jonathan began his career litigating antitrust matters for the U.S. Federal Trade Commission. During his tenure there, he worked in Bucharest advising the Romanian Ministry of Finance on designing a regulatory framework to enforce competition laws, in connection with that country's bid for admission to the European Union. He then joined Washington, D.C.'s largest telecommunications practice where his clients included every major U.S. competitive carrier. There he also counseled arbitrageurs and institutional investors on mergers subject to government scrutiny.
Jonathan has testified before Congress and addressed government officials around the globe on opening telecommunications markets. He was featured as a "Mover and Innovator" in Mass High Tech and among "40 Under 40" business and community leaders by Boston Business Journal.
